One of the ethanol production biorefinery units is integrated in the St1 refinery in Gothenburg. St1 is piloting the production of advanced fuel ethanol from cassava starch mill waste in Thailand. The company is also developing new ethanol production technologies with a strong focus on ligno-cellulosic feedstocks.
